Thaymeus [Bitseedy] Vigil

Iris June "Whitey" Wetselline Walker, 69, of Anadarko, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013 at her home in Anadarko. Iris was born June 15,1943 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Henry & Susie [Redbone] Wetselline.

She lived most of her life in Caddo County. She played softball and basketball and was an avid fan and cheerleader of the Fort Cobb Broxton Mustangs.

Iris was one of the few full blood Apache Tribal members left.

She was first baptized at the Wetselline Methodist Church, now known as Botone Church then with 1st Apache Baptist Church near Fort Cobb. She was also a member of the Kiowa Apache Blackfoot Society.

Iris is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glen Walker, son, Phillip "P. A." Wetselline, daughter, Darla Wetselline Kennedy, grandson's: Henry Allen Wetselline and Anthony Wetselline, 7 brothers: James Nimsey Jr., Gerald Nimsey Sr., Leroy Nimsey, Arnold "Toots" Wetselline, Ronald "Pinky" Wetselline, Keith A. Wetselline, Kenneth "Joe" Wetselline and sister, Zola Wetselline.

Wake service will be held Monday, June 17, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. at the 1st Apache Baptist Church in Fort Cobb. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Fort Cobb with Rev. Duke Tsoodle and Rev. Milton Otis, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort Cobb, Oklahoma under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Anadarko, Oklahoma.
