Friday, April 28, 2011 Donald Lee Tilley Donald Lee Tilley, 83, was called home by the Lord on Friday, April 28th, 2011, at his home in Alex, Oklahoma. He was born September 23, 1927 to Isreal and Lottie Lee [Saddler] Sneed in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. He attended Prairie Lone High School in Fort Cobb. He was united in marriage to Fernie Landers on June 27, 1949, from this union was born eight children. She preceded him in death. He was a farm laborer most of his life. He also worked at Sequah Carpet Mills as an assembly line worker, He worked for a Furniture Factory in Carnegie, Oklahoma. His last job was at Home Land Grocery Store. He was united in marriage to Jackelyn Leilani Hunt on September 10, 1999 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Donald was very out going and never met a stranger. He loved to dance. He enjoyed traveling with his wife who always had him duded up in all the beautiful shirts and vests she made for him. His greatest love was for his family. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. He enjoyed life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife; Jackelyn of the home seven children; Betty Brinkman and husband, Louis of Edmond, OK, Doyle Tilley and wife, Linda of Guthrie, OK, Gloria Kirkes and husband, Eddie of Union City, OK, Glenda Goodwin and husband, Tiny of Cordell, OK, Delbert Tilley of Cordell, Dean Tilley and wife, Tammy of Mustang, OK and Doug Tilley of Fort Cobb, OK, eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren,Step children; Jackelyn Ledford and husband, Dennie of Alex, OK, Lloyd Newton and wife, Jeri and Floyd Newton and wife, Beth of Kingston, OK and Cheryl Newton, seven step grandchildren and eighteen step great grandchildren He is preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, Darwin and a step grandchild. Graveside services: 3:00 P. M., Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort Cobb, OK. Officiating: Rev Doyle Wilbur under the direction of Fort Cobb Funeral Home, Fort Cobb, OK |
