Monday, January 31, 2011 Esther [Jones] Robnett Esther Robnett, 95, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was called home by the Lord on Monday, January 31, 2011 at her home in Oklahoma City. Esther was born June 24, 1915 in Starr, Oklahoma to Joseph "Joe" Loffete & Linnie Alma [Edwards] Jones. She attended Foster School in Fort Cobb and was united in marriage to Roland Robnett. She worked in the fields with her husband until his death on December 12, 1992. Esther worked as a nurses aid at Anadarko Hospital for several years. Her hobbies included drawing, coloring, quilting, listening to gospel music and visiting with people. Esther loved the lord and had made a profession of her faith in Christ. She was thankful for her family especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved her dearly. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Fort Cobb. Esther will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include one son, Joe Carrol Robnett & wife, Mary of Burneyville, Oklahoma; two daughters: Shirley Dorsey of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, Alma Gayle Horlivy of Yukon, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Martha Robnett of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma & Alberta Foreman of Wynniewood, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Esther is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roland, son, Ronnie Robnett, grandson, Robbie Joe Robnett, brother, Jessie O. Jones, sister, Lillian Gaddis. Funeral services: 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 4, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Fort Cobb with Chaplain Thad Mock & Chaplain Greg Taylor, officiating. Burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort Cobb under the direction of Fort Cobb Funeral Home, Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to the family at smithfuneralservices.com |
