© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, January 11, 1933 Ethel Pledger Mrs. Pledger Buried At Fort Cobb Sunday, Jauary 8 Funeral services were held at the Highland church north of Fort Cobb at 2 p.m. Sunday for Mrs. A. Pledger who died at her home home in that community Friday, Jan. 6. Rev. Kerns conducted the services and interment was made in the Fort Cobb cemetery. Mrs. Pledger was 46 years, 3 months and one day old at the time of her death. She had lived in this state practically her entire life, having grown to womanhood near Earlsboro. She was converted at the age of 16 and a member of the Highland Methodist church. She is survived by her husband and two sons, Clarence and Edgar, besides many other relatives. |

[Jarel] Pledger Pledger Rites Held Sunday Funeral services for Rosa Dale Pledger, 69, of Fort Cobb, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, at the Highland United Methodist Church near Fort Cobb Lake. Burial was in the Fort Cobb cemetery with Rev. Bob Williams, pastor of the local Church of the Nazarene officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Jim Houk, pastor of the Highland Church. Mrs. Pledger died Friday, May 31 in the Baptist Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born in Caddo county June 17, 1905, and had lived in this area all her life. She was married to Edgar Pledger December 26, 1931. He preceded her in death in 1965. She was a member of the Highland Methodist church. Survivors include one son, Lloyd of Lubbock, Tex.; one daughter, Mrs. Lauretta Teeter of Fort Cobb; her mother, Mrs. J.H. Jarel of Binger; one brother, John Jarel of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Willits and Mrs. Ellie Willits of Fort Cobb; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren |
