© Clark Funeral Service Tishomingo, Oklahoma October 2010 Loreen "Sis" [Edge] Oekerman January 22, 1922 ~ October 30, 2010 Funeral Services for Mrs. Loreen Oekerman, 88, of Tishomingo will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma with Rev. Kenneth McCarthick officiating. Interment will follow in the Ft. Cobb Cemetery. Mrs. Oekerman passed away on October 30, 2010 at the Marshall County Medical Center in Madill, Oklahoma. Loreen was born on January 22, 1922 in Roosevelt, Oklahoma to Robert Lee Edge andd Mary Levina Murphey Edge. She grew up in the Hobart and Ft. Cobb area and graduated from Fr. Cobb High School in 1941. She married Glenn Oekerman on November 21, 1942 in Ft. Cobb. Mrs. Oekerman lived in the Verden and Cement, Oklahoma areas for many years and was the organist at the First Baptist Church in Cement. She moved to Tishomingo in 1991, and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and one brother, Floyce Edge. Mrs. Oekerman is survived by two daughters, Glenda Break of Nashville, Tennessee and Rita Lokey and her husband Rex, of Tishomingo; four grandchildren, Kellye Ferguson of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Crystal Lokey of Tishomingo, Jim Lokey of Shertz, Texas and Aaron Lokey of Ardmore, Oklahoma; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roland Edge of Ft. Cobb, and Wayne Edge of Edmond, Oklahoma; her sister, Nona Mae Holley of Oklahoma City, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers for the service will be family and friends. |
