Friday, December 3, 2010 Luther James Odum Luther Odum, 81, former Fort Cobb, Oklahoma resident, was called home by the Lord on Friday, December 3, 2010 at Comanche Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was born March 13,1929 to Otis James and Mary [Bowden] Odum Sr. in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. He was a graduate of Fort Cobb High School. He was united in marriage to Almittie Johnson on June 19, 1948 in Anadarko, Oklahoma and from this union were born 9 children; Luther James "Jimmy", Glen Ray, Ozella, Kathy , Feretta, Nina, Karen, Nadine and Carol. He lived in the Caddo County area all of his life where he farmed. Luther loved football. He was a member of the Macedona Baptist Church. He is survived by: 2 sons: Luther James "Jimmy" Odum, Jr. of Seattle, WA and Glen Ray Odum of Lancaster, CA, 7 daughters; Ozella Stephenson of Anadarko, OK, Kathy Marx of Anadarko,OK, Geretta Odum of Anadarko, Nina Odum of Atlanta, GA, Karen Odum of Los Angeles, CA, Nadine Perry of Los Angeles, CA and Carol Samuels of Los Angeles, CA 2 brothers; Otis James Odum, Jr. of Tulsa, OK and Nathaniel Odum of Kansas City, KS Grandchildren: Terri Jamerson, Lesa Stephenson, Bianca Marx, Rashonda Bartney, Rashida White, Kenneth Sheldrick, Tiane McCall, Chanel Walker, Briana Taylor, Teya Green, Tynesha Perry, Jessica Odum, Michael Williams and Glen Williams, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 1/2 great-great-grandchildren, Former wife, Almittie Samuel of Anadarko, OK, Numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters; Essie Mae Gaddis, Odessa Nuckols, Phyllis Perry and Jewel Odum. 3 brothers; Leroy Odum, Cardwell Odum and Landis Odum.
