Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, December 18, 1935 Wiley D. McDaniel Carnegie Man Dies At Yukon Sunday W.D. McDaniel, a resident of this community, passed away quietly at the home of his son at Yukon Sunday evening at 7:30 o'clock, at the age of 64 years, 2 months and 24 days. He had been confined to his bed for the past eight weeks. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist church in Fort Cobb at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday by Rev. Walter Wilson, assisted by Rev. K.L. Chapman, pastor. Interment was made in the Fort Cobb cemetery. Wiley D. McDaniel was born Oct. 11, 1874 in Robertson county, Texas. He was married to Miss Bertha Riley and to this union seven children were born. He was converted in 1914 and united with the Presbyterian church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertha McDaniel and two sons, Aubry and Gene of this place; two daughters, Mrs. Mattie Head of Fort Cobb and Mrs. Effie Cude of Weatherford; three sons, Leslie McDaniel of Weatherford, P.W. McDaniel and Harry McDaniel of Yukon; one sister, Mrs. Barbara Draper of Electra, Texas, and six half-brothers of Texas who were not present. |
