Monday, July 10, 2017 Carrie Lavon [Harjo] McCraw Carrie Lavon Harjo McCraw, 56, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on June 21, 1961 in Oklahoma City, OK to Eloise [Sumpter] and Leslie Harjo, Sr. She grew up in Oklahoma City and attended school in Oklahoma City before moving to Sasakwa, OK where she graduated high school. She later attended Murray State College. She enjoyed watching T.V., especially The Voice and Duck Dynasty. Her hobbies included crafting and sewing. She liked to make baby quilts. She worked as a surveillance officer for the Texhoma Gaming Center. She was a member of the Caddo Nation and was also of Chickasaw, Seminole and Choctaw decent. She loved to spend time with her family and loved caring for her nieces. She is survived by: Her daughter, Krystal McCraw, of Tishomingo, OK, Her mother, Eloise Harjo, of Fort Cobb, OK, Two brothers; Leslie Harjo, Jr., Thomas, OK, Victor Harjo, Fort Cobb, OK, Her sister: Sara Watkins, Anadarko, OK. She was preceded in death by her father and her maternal grandparents; Scott and Eloise Sumpter and her paternal grandparents, Babe and Josie Harjo. Funeral Services: 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 14, 2017, Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Anadarko, OK. Officiating: Rev. Amon Harjo and Rev. Thomas Worcester. Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort Cobb, OK.
