Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, August 28, 1963 Robert H. Kinnard R.H. Kinnard Funeral Services Held Wednesday Services for Robert Henry "Bob" Kinnard, retired Broxton community farmer and stockman and brother of Mrs. Dick Overbey and Mrs. Leavie Dyer, Carnegie, were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Fort Cobb First Christian church. Rev. Tom Grey, pastor, officiated. Interment was in the Fort Cobb cemetery. Kinnard, 79, died unexpectedly at 10 p.m. Monday at his home in the Broxton community. He was born February 12, 1887, at Edmondson, Ky., to Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Kinnard. He moved to the Broxton community from Texas in 1907, where he had since resided. He was married to Miss Lula Jesse at Apache on February 12, 1911. Two children were born to them. A member of the First Christian church, Fort Cobb, he was an elder in the church. He was a former school board member and was a player on the Apache independent baseball team a number of years ago when the team was recognized as one of the best. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Luther, and one grandchild. Surviving him are his widow of the home; one son, Calbin W. Kinnard, Tacoma, Wash.; one daughter, Mrs. Larry McCay Bethany, Okla.; one brother, Carl Kinnard, Perry; five sisters, Mrs. Nelya McComb, Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Overbey and Mrs. Dyer, Carnegie, Mrs. Velma White, Bethany, and Mrs. Anna Osburn, San Antonio; six grandchildren. |
