Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, June 19, 1935 Faye [Franks] Harjo Faye Harjo, 52, passed away at her home in Weatherford, OK on Tuesday, March 25th, 2014. She was born on May 18, 1961 in Oklahoma City, OK to John and Lucy [Kilcrease] Franks. She graduated from Sasakwa in 1979 and attended Bacone Indian College in Muskogee for one year. She married Leslie Harjo, Jr. in 1983 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. From this union was born one daughter, Valerie. Faye's greatest love was for her family. She enjoyed working cross word puzzles, going shopping, especially the Etcetera Store in Weatherford, Oklahoma. She enjoyed talking with her family and friends and spending time with her granddaughters. She never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone. She had made a profession of her faith in Christ and was Baptized at Okmulgee Indian Baptist Church and attended Caddo Baptist Church in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her father, John Franks. She is survived by her husband, Leslie of the home, one daughter, Valerie Pekah and husband, Will of Weatherford, Oklahoma, her mother, Lucy Franks of Saswaka, Oklahoma, four brothers, Virgil Franks and wife, Linda of Ada, Oklahoma, Ray Franks of Seminole, Oklahoma, Danny Franks of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, George Franks and wife, Konawa,of Holdenville, OK. Two sisters; Molly Mack, Shawnee and Margie Lena and her husband, Manuel, Wewoka. Two grandchildren; Natalie Faye Pekah and Rylie Kaye Pekah. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. All-night prayer service beginning at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the First Caddo Indian Baptist Church, Fort Cobb, OK. Funeral Services: 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 31, 2014, First Baptist Church, Fort Cobb, OK, Officiating: Rev. Amon Harjo. Burial: Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort Cobb, OK.
