Pauline P. Hall

Mrs. C.M. Hall was born June 8, 1872 and passed away at the home of her son, Lewis, four miles northwest of Fort Cobb June 15, 1935 at the age of 63 years and 7 days.

She was married to Charles M. Hall over 40 years ago and to this union eight children were born, three with her husband having preceded her in death. It was four months and two days ago her husband passed away. She was not well at the time of his death and she has gradually failed until the end came which was a relief from her sufferings.

Mr. and Mrs. Hall were true pioneers in the community, coming here at the opening and residing here since. They shared in the sorrows and successes of their neighbors and friends. The night was never too dark or the weather too inclement for this good woman to assist where she was needed.

She was the mother of a large family who are respected citizens and are a living tribute to a good father and mother.

Funeral services were held at the home of Lewis Hall June 15 by Rev. R.E. Harvey of Fort Cobb and interment was made in the Oak Grove cemetery.

Menford F. Hall

Menford Hall Dies In Truck Accident

FORT COBB, Jan. 21.--Menford Fenton Hall, 40, of Springfield, Mo., a former Fort Cobb boy, was killed between Springfield and Joplin Friday night when the big transport truck which he was driving went out of control and struck a bridge abutment. Highway patrolmen investigated the accident said the trailer apparently started a back-end whip which forced the truck into the bridge. The crash threw gasoline on the hot motor and Hall was burned to death in his cab.

Services were in the Fort Cobb Church of Christ Sunday at 3 p.m. Elder Jack Neadau of Apache preached the funeral sermon. Burial was in the Fort Cobb cemetery under direction of the Harvey Funeral Home.

The American Legion post of Apache conducted military rites.

Hall grew up in Fort Cobb and was a graduate of the Fort Cobb highschool.

He was a driver for the Voss Truck lines of Oklahoma City.

Survivors are his mother, Mrs. J.B. Hall, Fort Cobb; three sisters, Mrs. C.E. Knauss, Fort Cobb; Mrs. Elmer Davis, Anadarko, and Mrs. Clem Reed, Oklahoma City, and one brother, S.L. Hal, Drumright.
