Sunday, August 2, 2009 Geraldine "Geri" [Eustace] Goombi FORT COBB Funeral for Geraldine "Geri" Goombi, 67, Fort Cobb, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Comanche Community Center of Apache with the Rev. Duke Tsoodle officiating. Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Comanche Community Center of Apache. Mrs. Goombi died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, at an Oklahoma City hospital. Burial will be in Fort Cobb Cemetery under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home. She was born May 5, 1942, in Zuni, N.M., to Vera Roamncito Eustace and Raymond Gasper. She grew up in Zuni and graduated as valedictorian from the Zuni Day School in 1959. She attended Brown's Business School of Albuquerque, N.M. After earning her degree in business administration, she worked for the Public Health Service Hospital in Gallup, N.M., as secretary for the hospital administrator. She also worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in various departments and capacities including the area director's secretary, superintendent's secretary and court stenographer for probates, contracts and classification. She had 34 years in civil service and retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs in 1994. She was married to J.T. Goombi for 46 years. Survivors include her husband, J.T. Goombi; three sons and a daughter-in-law: Johnnie Goombi, Joey and Tonilynn Goombi and Jay Tearle Goombi, all of Anadarko; two daughters: Teresa Peterson, Anadarko; and Rivi Unah, Gracemont; three grandsons: John, Jason and Adolphus; six granddaughters and a grandson-in-law: Stephanie, Melanie, Tish and Ronald Sr., Courtney, Lacie and Alexandria; two great-grandsons: Dillon and Ronald Jr.; three great-granddaughters: Amber-Rae, Alexis and Breeann; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Elkus Gasper, Angie and Bryce Carlos Eustace, and Erma; and many adopted brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her father, a brother: Kerigan Adair; an infant son, Danyell Brent; grandfather, Mark Romancito; and grandmother, Flora Zuni. |
Sunday, August 2, 2009 Marlin Ray Goombi Sr FORT COBB - Funeral for Marlin Ray Goombi Sr., 61, Fort Cobb, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Fort Cobb with the Rev. Kathy Longhat officiating. Wake service will be at 7 p.m. today at Ray & Martha's Funeral Chapel, Carnegie. Mr. Goombi Sr. died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, in Lawton. Burial will be in Fort Cobb Cemetery. He was born Sept. 26, 1947, in Lawton, to Adolphus and Cynthia Berry Goombi. He married Ramona Pena on Oct. 2, 1970, in Fort Cobb. He was a member of the Kiowa Gourd Clan and the Kiowa Business Committee from 1992 to 1994. He was a truck driver for Double G Trucking in Geronimo. Survivors include his wife, of the home; five children and their spouses: Charles and Anna Goombi, Haslet, Texas; Adolphus Goombi, Mountain View; Deesha Goombi and Edgar Nucklos, Moore; Marlin Jr. and Candace Goombi, Fort Cobb; and Melvern Goombi, Clinton; 11 grandchildren: Julie Boettger, Charlsi Goombi, Sydney Goombi, Charles Jr. "Littleman" Goombi, Nathaniel Bryant, Adam Bryant, Tommie Niastor, Brenna Brower, Dezmon Goombi, E'Mya Nucklos, and Halayna Goombi; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Joseph and Geri Goombi, Anadarko; Timothy and Faye Goombi, Oklahoma City; and Philemon and Angie Goombi, Belleville, Kan.; and two sisters and a brother-in-law: Ann and Wesley Nash, San Carlos, Ariz.; and Alecia Gonzales, Anadarko. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Lillian Wilson and Polly Northcutt; and a granddaughter, Samantha Kristine Goombi. |
