Jack Newton Eskew III
Jack Eskew, 48, passed away after a sudden illness on Sunday, June 14th, 2015 in Lawton, OK. He was born on May 22, 1967 in Midwest City, Oklahoma to Lenora Heard [Putnam] and Jasper Eskew, Jr.
He grew up in the Hobart and Fort Cobb areas and graduated from Fort Cobb High School in 1985.
He joined the U.S. Navy and served our country during the Persian Gulf War. He had the honor of meeting and eating with President George H. W. Bush during the Somalia Conflict. He worked at various locations as a meat cutter.
He was loved by both his close family and his extended family and loved the holidays and family get-togethers.
He enjoyed all sports, especially golf. He loved to watch both OU and OSU sports on tv. His beloved pet dogs, Ginger and Alli, brought him much joy and love.
He was a member of the Fort Cobb First Baptist Church and a member of the Wichita and Affiliated Tribe of Oklahoma.
He is survived by: His father, Jasper Eskew, Jr., El Reno, OK, His mother, Lenora Eskew, Apache, OK, 1 brother, Chris Eskew and his wife, Crystal, Apache, OK, 1 sister, Caroline Wilson and her husband, Roy, Fort Cobb, OK, Nieces and nephews: Shane Eskew, Christian Eskew, Forrest Abbott and his wife, Rya, Alex Wilson, Austin Maguire and Samantha Wilson, Great-niece and nephew: Lukas Abbott and Myla Abbott. Numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Shelly Eskew.
Funeral Services: 1:30 P.M., Thursday, June 18, 2015, Square Top Baptist Church, Anadarko, OK.
Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort Cobb, OK. Services under the direction of Fort Cobb Funeral Home, Fort Cobb, OK
