Earl Warren Eads Sr
Earl Warren Eads Sr., 87, of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, was called home by the Lord on Friday, July 26, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Earl was born April 13th, 1926 in Fort Cobb to Thomas Orthie and Grace Bennett [Britton] Eads.
He was a graduate of the Fort Cobb Longhorns. He then attended Oklahoma Baptist University where he met and later married the love of his life, Kittie Corinne Spotts on May 11, 1947 in Fort Cobb. They shared 66 years together.
He proudly served our country in the United States Army from October 9, 1944 to January 25, 1946 and then with the United States Air Force from March 10, 1951 to June 20, 1952. While he was in the Army, he was a 747 airplane engine mechanic. After serving in the military, Earl worked at the Tinker Air Force Base as a hydraulic mechanic then was a police officer for the Oklahoma City Police Department.
Earl was a farmer and enjoyed tilling the soil, hauling dirt and gravel and was just a total outdoor man.
He loved to aggravate Kittie and they spent many many wonderful moments together. He enjoyed helping with knitting projects and anything else the girls needed help with. He was a family man and enjoyed family gatherings.
He liked to hunt squirrel and rabbit. Earl was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fort Cobb. Earl will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Kittie of the home; 2 sons: Earl Warren Eads Jr. of Mustang, Oklahoma and Elton Wayne Eads of Wewoka, Oklahoma; 4 daughters; Mary Elizabeth Eads of Glenrock, Wyoming, Eva Sue Silva of Austin, Texas, Betty Carol DeBaun & husband, Ronald of Mildland, Texas and Lisa Lynn Cooper-Green & husband, Jon of BainBridge, Washington; 13 grandchildren; Chris Silva, Jacob Eads, Sandra Silva, Melody Eads, Sara Nash, Elayna Hanson, Timothy Eads, Derek Edward Gaskins, Teira Cole, Joel Thistle, Scooter DeBaun, Kittie Cooper and Jane Montanaro; 1 brother, Hubert Eads of Carnegie, Oklahoma, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Earl is preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Dale and Jimmy Eads and an infant brother, 1 grandson, Jesse Eads and 1 sister, Wanda Smallwood.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Fort Cobb with Rev. Charlie Blount, officiating. Burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort Cobb under the direction of the Fort Cobb Funeral Home. |
