Earl Thomas Blakley

Earl Thomas Blackley, 65, of Eakly, Oklahoma, was called home by the Lord on Sunday, June 19th, 2011 at the North Winds Nursing Home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Earl was born January 4th, 1946 in Hinton, Oklahoma to Iris Earl & Beatrice [Kincer] Blackley.

He was a graduate of Eakly High School in the class of 1965. He attended Southwestern State College in Weatherford, Oklahoma for two years before being drafted into the United States Army. He was proud to be an American and was proud to have served his country with fourteen years of active duty. Leaving the Army as a Supply Sargent.

He was a Supervisor for Borden's Dairy for twenty years. He then worked at V.A. Hospital in Clinton, Oklahoma as a CNA for several years.. He was a member of the V.F.W. Dance Club.

His greatest love was for his Mom and his faithful companion, "Scooter".

Earl never met a stranger. He enjoyed being around people. He was very kind hearted and would do everything he could to help anyone in need. He enjoyed everyone at the North Winds Nursing Home and especially was thankful to his sister, Lavern and Herb Anthony for all their support and for taking care of his puppy, "Scooter" now that he has gone on the be with Jesus. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by; Two sisters, Lavern Anthony and husband, Herb of Moore, OK and Pat Garcia of Glenrose, TX, two sisters in law, Joann Blakley io OK City, OK and Peggy Blakley of Lookeba, OK, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by, his parents, Iris Earl Blakley and Beatrice McConnell, step father, Blackie McConnell, five brothers, George, Jesse, John, Frank and Billy.

Officiating: Rev. Donnie Ray. Graveside Miltary Honors at 10:00 A.M. at the Fort Cobb Cemetery, under the direction of the Fort Cobb Funeral Home, Fort Cobb, OK
