Nadine Jane [Thornhill] Mason Barnes
Nadine Jane Barnes,85, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Friday, May 20, 2011 in Oklahoma City. Nadine was born August 28, 1925 in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to John Thomas & Cora Nelia [Fisher] Thornhill.
She married Gerald Mason and he preceded her in death in 1972. On May 29, 1981 she married Ray Barnes. Nadine worked at Southwestern Bell for 20 years as a switch operator and retired from Tinker Air Force Base.
She enjoyed working in her flower beds and going to Lake Tenkiller with her family.
She was a prayer warrior and a member of Exchange Avenue Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
Nadine is survived by her son, Gerald "Jerry" W. Mason of Phoenix, Arizona; two grandchildren: Angela Barrett and Jerry Mason Jr.; three great grandchildren: Haylee Mason, Carly Schmidt and Mason Schmidt.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Barnes and daughter, Jeri Mason.
Funeral services: 12:30 P.M., Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Exchange Avenue Baptist Church in Oklahoma City with Rev. Rusty Stowe officiating. Burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort Cobb, Oklahoma under the direction of Fort Cobb Funeral Home, Fort Cobb, Oklahoma.
