© Crews Funeral Home Apache, Caddo CO, Oklahoma August 2020 October 17, 1978 ~ August 16, 2020 James Andrew White was born October 17, 1978, in Childress, Texas to Oliver Roy White and Ellen Joyce [Jones] McClure. He passed away on August 16, 2020, in Lawton at the age of 41. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 21, at 10:00A.M. at the Bethel Pentecostal Church in Apache with Rev. Leslie Claborn officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Crews Funeral Home. James graduated from Norman High School. Being a gifted musician, music was a passion, especially songs by George Strait and Don Williams. He also enjoyed Christian children's songs. He played the harmonica, drums, Afuche, and any instrument that he could shake. His favorite songs to sing were "I'll Fly Away" and "When the Saints Go Marching In." He collected jumbo pencils - his collection numbered about 1,000. He also collected video movies and would take pictures of all the things he collected. He loved talking to his brothers on the phone. He loved his childhood dog, Dixie. He was a member of the Bethel Pentecostal Church where he and Rev. Les Claborn would pray together for people. Preceded in death by his grandparents: Grandma and Grandpa White and Grandpa and Grandma Jones, James is survived by his mother, Ellen McClure; father, Oliver Roy White; brothers: Cliff White and wife Sonya of Shawnee; Shawn White and wife Wendy of Melrose, FL; Coby McClure; and sisters: Natlie Isaacs and husband Mikah of Konawa, OK; Hadassah White of Willington, TX.
