© Crews Cyril Funeral Home Cyril, Oklahoma 17 December 2013 January 19, 1943 ~ December 17, 2013 Leatrice Joyce Cain Van Horn of Duncan, OK was born January 19, 1943 in Chickasha, OK to John Edward and Dessie Lorene [Nunn] Turpin. She passed away December 17th in Duncan, OK at the age of 70. Joyce married Kenneth Cain on April 30, 1960. She enjoyed going fishing with him and would ride with him when hauling hay. To this union, 8 children were born. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2001. She married Dean Lee Van Horn on April 5, 2010. They lived in Marlow, OK until she moved to Duncan. Joyce enjoyed working crossword puzzles but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She especially loved playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by: 4 sons - Richard Cain of Marlow; Robert Cain of Marlow; Kenneth Cain, Jr and companion, Lora Brown of Chickasha; Mark and wife, Nikki Cain of Marlow; 3 daughters-Karen McCaskill of Duncan; Sharon Kennedy of Duncan; Rita and husband, Michael Baxter of Duncan; 27 grandchildren-Tommy Cain, Jessica Cain, Jennifer Cain, Brandy Jantz, Jessie Jantz, Chris Cain, Amber Cain, Amrah and husband, Tracy Lagerquist; Alexis and husband, Simon Estrada; Timothy Cain, TyLeena Cain, Shari McCaskill, Daniel Marine, Jacob Kennedy, Matt Kennedy, Jeff Kennedy, Jammie Heidler, Tesla Kennedy, Haley Baxter, Dyllon Baxter, Austin Baxter, Josh Batch, LaDonna Batch, Kyle Batch, Earnest Beck, Candice Armstrong, Shelby Beck; 45 great-grandchildren and 2 "on the way." She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Kenneth Cain; 1 daughter, Diana Batch Harris; 1 grandson, Jared Kennedy; 1 great-granddaughter, Mikhayla Marie Noyes; 2 brothers - Walter Turpin and Troy Turpin; 3 sisters - Jodie Carr, Betty Colgrove and Murlene Rose. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 19 Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Apache under the direction of Crews Funeral Home. |
