Smallwood Of Apache, Oklahoma Was born January 5, 1933 south of Apache to C.H. and Ludie M. [Austin] Smallwood. He passed away December 4th, 2014 in Lawton, OK at the age of 81. Floyd graduated from Apache High School and entered the Army and served during the Korean war. After his service, he returned to Apache. He married Wanda Faye McMillin in Apache on January 17, 1959. He went to work at the Apache Coop as a gas truck driver and retired as manager of the coop station. His coworkers enjoyed working with him and all who knew him thought of Floyd as honest and straightforward. A hard-worker, he loved to keep busy, even taking his vacations to work on projects around the home. He also loved working out in his yard. He was a member of the Ft. Cobb Church of Christ. He is survived by: His wife, Wanda, of the home 2 sons - Ron Smallwood and his partner, Kim Meeks, Apache, OK Joe and his wife, Janie Smallwood, Hinton, OK 6 grandchildren - Katharina Smallwood, Joseph Smallwood, Brandi Meeks, Kalib Meeks, Shawna Byrd, Suprina Turner, 11 great-grandchildren - Daniel Turner, Aimee Turner, Zachary Turner, David Turner, Dayona Byrd, Amy Sells, Malcus Sells, Tyler Sells, KateLynn Sells, Makayla Sells, Kenneth Sells, 1 brother - Charles Smallwood, California 2 sisters and their husbands - Grace and Chuck Myers, Lakeside Addition-Lawton, OK Laveda and Boyd Isom, Apache, OK. He was preceded in death by: His parents 1 daughter- Donna Faye Smallwood 2 brothers - Clyde Smallwood, Willis Smallwood. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 10th at 2:00 P.M. in the Crews Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Clabaugh officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home. |
