Homer Lee Parmer

Homer Lee Parmer of Apache, OK was born March 9, 1921 at Broxton, OK to James Walter Scott and Clara [Miller] Parmer. He passed away January 3, 2014 in Apache, OK at the age of 92.

He entered the U.S. Navy during World War II and served on a destroyer in the Atlantic along the North African Theatre.

After his service, he lived in Chula Vista, CA where he worked as a spot welder for Rohr Aircraft from the mid-forties until his retirement in the seventies.

He moved back to Oklahoma and worked for the Apache Schools, then went to work for Gulfstream Aircraft in Oklahoma City before retiring from that company in April 1984.

He married Bonnie Trippe Meece on March 9, 2006 in Lawton, OK and they made their home in Apache. She preceded him in death on August 2, 2008.

Homer enjoyed bowling and would go fishing occasionally.

Homer is survived by: 1 step-daughter and her husband-Ruby and Bob Brush of Chickasha, OK; 3 brothers-Denton and wife, Glenda Parmer of San Diego, CA; Clinton and wife, Betty Parmer of Apache, OK; Oris Parmer of Lawton, OK; He was preceded in death by: His parents; His wife, Bonnie; 1 sister- Ruth Huber; 1 brother - George Parmer.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 7th at 2:00 P.M. at the Crews Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Young officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.

Oris Kerwin Parmer

Oris Kerwin Parmer of Apache, Oklahoma was born August 31, 1932 in Apache to James Walter Scott and Clara [Miller] Parmer. He passed away in Lawton, OK on February 27th at the age of 81.

Oris married Marilyn Kay Christopher on May 25, 1954 in Lawton. She preceded him in death on November 15, 2007.

He worked in the oilfield, mainly working for Parker Drilling doing many different jobs during his career. After leaving the business, he went to work as an auto mechanic for several different companies before retiring.

Oris was a faithful member of the First Christian Church and served as a deacon in his church.

He belonged to the Apache Jaycees and the Apache Archery Club. He enjoyed going fishingand fixing things.

He is survived by: 2 daughters-Christy and husband, Lynn Ferrell of Apache, OK; Suzi Parmer and Roger Gwinn of Lawton, OK; 4 grandchildren-Jory and wife, Joy Ferrell; Toby and wife, Ashley Ferrell; Andi Ferrell; Taryn Beets; 3 great-grandchildren-Alexa Ferrell, Jakob Ferrell, Dalton Ferrell; 2 brothers and their wives-Denton and Glenda Parmer of San Diego, CA; Clinton and Betty Parmer of Apache, OK.

He was preceded in death by: His wife- Marilyn Parmer; 1 daughter- Patti Beets; 1 sister- Ruth Huber; 2 brothers- George Parmer and Homer Parmer.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 1st at 10:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church with Pastor Bill Huguely officiating.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.
