Wednesday, June 2, 2010 Leta [Kelly] McCay January 30, 1902 ~ August 1, 1968 Funeral Services For Leta McCay Held Saturday Services for Mrs Leta McCay, 66, were held at 2 pm Sarturday, August 3, in the First Methodist Church, with Rev Gerald Manley, pastor, officiating. Mrs McCay died last Thursday in a Lawton hospital, fowwowing a short illness. She was born January 39, 1902 at Bronte Texas, and was married to Walter McCay on January 15, 1921, At Chickasha. The couple had resided on a farm northeast of Apache since their marriage. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1962. She was a member of the Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include a son, Lawrence McCay, of the home; two sisters, Mrs Vera Griffin, of Sylvester, Texas and Mrs Pearl Holsey, of Oklahoma City; four brothers, W. L. Kelly, of Sylvester, Texas, Sheldon Kelly and Luther Kelly, both of El Reno, and Roy Kelly, of Oklahoma City. Pallbearers were M. W. Goodman, James Vail, C. W. London, Sam Schwartzer, Walter Gilbreath and Evert Cook. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery with Crews Funeral Home in charge. |
