Lula M. Kuntz

Lifetime area resident, Lula M. Kuntz, 91, died Saturday, May 29, 2004, in Chickasha. She was born December 24, 1912, near Boone, Oklahoma, to John Bunyan and Annie Dilbeck Mason.

She married Henry J. Kuntz on December 24, 1931, in Apache. Henry and Lula farmed east of Apache for 42 years before retiring. Kuntz was a member of the First Baptist Church of Apache and previously the Cyril First Baptist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed.

She leaves loving memories with three sons and their wives: Elmer L. and Freda Kuntz of Chickasha; Robert H. and Ruby Kuntz of Gilroy, California; and B. Ted and Linda Kuntz of Stillwater, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Her parents; three sisters: Edith, Pauline, and Ruby; and four brothers: LeRoy, Carl, Reuben (Buddy), and Willard, preceded her in death.

Services to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, in the First Baptist Church in Apache, Oklahoma, with Rev. A. L. Swagerty and Rev. Leon Shade, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Apache, under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.
