Hurst, 80, of Texarkana, Arkansas were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 15, 1995 at the East Memorial Chapel in Texarkana, Arkansas. Graveside services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 17, at Fairview Cemetery in Apache, Oklahoma with the Rev. Lee Hughes, pastor of the First Christian Church officating, under the direction of the Crews Funeral Home. Mr. Hurst died at Texarkana, Arkansas, on November 12, 1995. He was born at Madill, Oklahoma on December 22, 1914. He was a member of Central Christian Church in Texarkana and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was the chief specialist communicator for the Federal Aviator Association at Texarkana Regional Airport with 36 years of service. He belonged to the Good Sam Club and also the Amateur Radio Operator Club. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Evelyn B. Hurst of Texarkana, and a brother and sister-in-law, Charley and Barbara Parks, of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. |
