Lawton, Oklahoma Sunday, June 27, 2010 March 5, 1923 ~ June 25, 2010 Funeral for Hamp H. Henry Jr., 87, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Leonard Reimer, Promise Care Hospice, officiating. Mr. Henry died Friday June 25, 2010, in Lawton. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Apache. He was born March 5, 1923, in Front Royal, Va. He served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in Japan. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he attended Edward Business College in Lawton. He married Lois Flood on May 31, 1946, in Tacoma, Wash. In 1966, he began working for civil service at Fort Sill. He retired in 1986. He then began working part time delivering medicine for Earl Drug. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lois, of the home; three daughters and a son-in-law: Mary Hill, Duncan; Dorothy and Richard Norwood, Lawton; and Betty Cloughly, Austin, Texas; five grandchildren and their spouses: Jody and Michael Johnson, Denver; Kelley and Alex Shearn, Fort Lee, Va.; Bryan and Chic Cloughly, Austin, Texas; and Bobby Furlow, Austin, Texas; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Angie Boynton and Dorothy Otero; a daughter, Judy Oaks; and his great-grandson, Sean Smith.
