Edward Allen Head
October 20, 1929 ~ August 6, 2016


Edward Allen Head Of Oklahoma City, OK Was born October 20, 1929 in Stecker, OK to Olen Allen and Medley Dealy [McCay] Head. He passed away August 6th at his home in Oklahoma City at the age of 86.

Ed attended Stecker, then Apache High School before he entered the service and served during the Korean War.

He married Dorothy Leatha Jump on April 11, 1952 in Lawton. They lived in the Apache area and he worked on Fort Sill in the Water Department until he retired.

He was a member of the Assembly of God.

He and Dorothy enjoyed traveling all over the state of Oklahoma seeing the different sights and places. He also loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by: His wife, Dorothy, of the home 1 son- David Head 2 daughters- Brenda Curtis JoAnn Rumley 7 Grandchildren 13 Great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: His parents A daughter, Pamela Head 5 brothers 3 sisters.

A graveside service was held, Sunday, August 7th at 2:00 P.M. at Fairview Cemetery with Marvin Lindsey officiating.

Burial followed under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.

Dorothy Leatha [Jump] Head
April 15, 1932 ~ November 16, 2020


Dorothy Leatha Head passed away Monday, November 16, 2020, at her home in Oklahoma City, at the age of 88.

Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 18, at 10:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery in Apache. All arrangements have been entrusted to Crews Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born on April 15, 1932, in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Charley Newton Jump and Maudie [Clinton] Jump.

She worked many years in the grocery industry, owning and operating a grocery store with her husband.

Dorothy loved going to church and took great pride in her Bible studies.

She enjoyed learning and was always willing to learn something new. She liked to crochet and took art classes in her spare time.

Dorothy and Edward enjoyed traveling around Oklahoma, stopping in each small town, to spend time together, giving them six great years of quality time together.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by three children: David Head and wife Elaine of Midwest City; Brenda Curtis of Oklahoma City; JoAnn Rumley and husband Andy of Minco; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Carla Austin and husband Mike of Apache.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Edward Head; her parents; and daughter, Pamela Head.
