Edward Wesley "Ed" Hawkins
September 16, 1933 ~ January 7, 2017


Edward Wesley Hawkins Of Apache, OK Was born September 16, 1933 in Benton, IL to Wiley and Marjorie [Wilmore] Hawkins. He passed away January 7th in Lawton, OK at the age of 83.

Ed was a retired military veteran, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He began his service in the US Navy where he served four years before transferring to the US Army. He worked in transportation during his career, and received the Purple Heart while in Vietnam. He eventually was stationed at Ft. Sill where he retired from his military career.

He drove a truck for a lumber yard for a while and was a school bus driver on Ft. Sill. Ed was a member of the "40 & 8" retired military club and the VFW.

He married Martha Crow Elliott in Chickasha. Together, they loved going to garage sales and visiting with people they met. Ed loved animals and young children always sought out his company, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by: His wife, Martha, of the home 2 step-sons - David Elliott Apache Larry Elliott Apache 1 step-daughter and her husband - Janet and Bobby Pate Lawton, OK; 2 grandchildren - Charles Elliott, Skylar Sims 2 great-grandchildren - Natasha Warner, Megan Warner 1 sister - Kathy Grider Illinois.

He was preceded in death by: His parents 1 sister-Barbara Jean Hawkins.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 12th at 10:00 AM at the Lawton/Ft. Sill Veterans Center Chapel with Pastor Chris Stinnett officiating.

Inurnment will follow at a later date in Fairview Cemetery of Apache. Arrangements are under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.

Larry Dean Hawkins
July 23, 1953 ~ March 5, 2011


Larry Dean Hawkins of Del City, Oklahoma was born July 23, 1953 in Carnegie Oklahoma to Oliver Nathaniel and Bernice Gustin Hawkins. He passed away March 5th in The Village, OK at the age of 57.

After graduating high school he attended college.

He was married to Angela Pearson in October of 1979 in Arlington, TX and they had two children.

Larry worked as a tile setter for most of his life.

He enjoyed golf, playing pool, fishing and listening to music. He had exceptional talent playing trivia games and competing in fantasy football leagues. He also was interested in motorcycles.

He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church of Anadarko.

He is survived by: His mother and her husband, Bernice and Eddie Brines Apache, OK; His children - 1 Son - Nicholas Alexander Hawkins Sugarland, TX; 1 daughter - Rachel Hawkins Austin, TX; 4 Brothers - Michael Hawkins Apache, OK, Marshall Hawkins Norman, OK, Errol Hawkins Del City, OK, Douglas and wife, Linda Hawkins Midwest City, OK; 1 Sister - Barbara and husband, David Moore Fayetteville, AR; 21 Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and 2 sisters - Brenda Bogle and Nancy Hawkins.

Services will be held Tuesday, March 8th at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Apache with David Moore officiating.

Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Apache under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.

February 5, 1955 ~ July 31, 2008


OKLAHOMA CITY - Funeral for Nancy Jane Hawkins, 53, Oklahoma City, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Apache. A earlier service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home, Oklahoma City. Ms. Hawkins died Thursday, July 31, 2008, in Oklahoma City. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Apache under direction of Smith & Kernke Funeral Home.

She was born Feb. 5, 1955, in Oklahoma City to Bernice Gustin Willcox and Oliver Hawkins.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Jim Willcox, Apache; two daughters and a son-in-law: Heidi and Chris Doty, Grapevine, Texas; and Heather Alred, Oklahoma City; a son, John Green, Oklahoma City; three grandchildren: Ryley Alred, J.D. Green and Sophia Doty; five brothers and a sister-inlaw: Michael Hawkins, Apache; Marshall Hawkins and Larry Hawkins, both of Norman; Errol Hawkins, and Doug and Linda Hawkins, all of Midwest City; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and David Moore, Fayetteville, Ark.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Brenda Bogle.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Apache at 301 E. Franklin, Apache.
