Funeral service for Mary Genevie Hamilton, 87, Lawton will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the 8th & Lee church of Christ, Lawton with Zane Copeland, Gospel Preacher, Leedey church of Christ, and Brant Stubblefield, Gospel Preacher, Deer Creek church of Christ, officiating.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Apache under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hamilton passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 in Lawton.

She was born August 10, 1929 in Apache, Oklahoma to John Henry and Alpha Lue [Langston] Cooper.

She married James E. Hamilton on December 14, 1947 at a location 6 miles North of Apache, OK. He passed away May 29, 2008 in Lawton. Mary and James lived in Lawton and then in Midwest City for many years before moving back to Lawton.

She was a seamstress, making her childrenâ•.s clothing, as well as doing many sewing projects for others. She loved to cook, and anytime friends or church members were sick she would make them cinnamon rolls or a coconut cream pie. She loved fishing and enjoyed camping with James, but her most favorite time was having garage sales, going to sales and finding treasures. Above all she was a student of the Bible learning and teaching others throughout her adult lifetime. She taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and went on campaigns for Christ as well as taught her children and grandchildren the ways of the Lord through both Bible study and by her life of devotion to Christ. Maryâ•.s prayer was that her family would always live a life of faithful devotion to the unwavering Truth of the Lordâ•.s Scripture. Mary was a faithful member of the 8th & Lee church of Christ.

Survivors include her children, James L. Hamilton and his wife Janelle of Shawnee, OK , Katheryn McCormick and her husband Alan of Idaho, Joyce Copeland and her husband Hyman of Lawton, OK, 13 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. She was also survived by a brother Jerry Don Cooper and his wife Cheryl of Broxton, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter Sarah Marie Copeland, and 3 sisters, Dorothy P. Brewster, Stella Mae Youngblood, and Betty Jean Kiefer.

Memorial contributions may be made to the 8th & Lee church of Christ Building Fund, 1205 SW 8th Street, Lawton, OK 73501.

Larry Eugene Hamilton
October 10, 1962 ~ May 26, 2016


Larry Eugene Hamilton Of Apache, Oklahoma Was born October 14, 1962 in Lawton, OK to Floyd R. and Patricia [White] Hamilton. He passed away at his home on May 26th at the age of 53.

Larry graduated from Cache High School in 1980 and attended classes in Auto Technician training. He achieved his ASE certification and became a Master Diagnostic Technician for Toyota. Even after attaining this level of training, he continued taking classes in order to improve his skills. He worked for Fiesta Toyota in Lawton and later for Milo Gordon as an Auto Technician, and later a Service Writer.

He married Terrie Gifford Schultz on May 24, 2013 in Anadarko and moved to Apache. Together, they loved to ride their motorcycle, and traveled all over the country.

Larry learned to make balloon animals and would even dress up on Halloween as a clown and make animals for the trick-or-treaters. He enjoyed working with wood and doing cabinetry. Larry could also be found working meticulously in his yard, wanting to have the perfect lawn. He and his wife also attended the First Baptist Church in Indiahoma.

He is survived by: His wife, Terrie, of the home His parents, Floyd and Patricia Hamilton Lawton, OK, A daughter from a previous marriage 2 step-sons- Kevin and wife, DeAnne Schultz Anadarko, OK Trevor Schultz Apache, OK 1 step-daughter - Alaina McNeill Apache 4 grandsons - Aydan Schultz, Ryker Schultz, Luke McNeill, Wyatt McNeill 3 brothers - Don and wife, Kyla Hamilton Broken Arrow, OK Curtis Hamilton and friend, Karen Cache, OK Steven and wife, Laura Hamilton Lawton, OK 1 sister - Teresa and husband, Kelly Roskam Cache, OK, His uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by: His grandparents- Herman and Charlcie Hamilton Rex and Helen White 1 sister - Suzann Kay Hamilton.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 31st at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Apache with Pastor Les Banks officiating and assisted by Pastor Kerry Glasgow. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Apache under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers are Steve Hamilton, Curtis Hamilton, Kevin Schultz, Trevor Schultz, Kelly Roskam, Gene Schuler. Honorary pallbearers are his four grandsons.
