Sally Jo [Myers] Haley
April 9, 1935 ~ November 29, 2006


Sally Jo was born on April 9, 1935 in Lawton to Randlett and Margaret Myers and passed away in Oklahoma City on November 29 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She graduated from Apache High School where she played basketball, sang and was the Girls State Delegate.

Sally married Wendal Haley on December 6, 1952 in Lawton. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1993.

She moved to Oklahoma City from Salt Lake City in 1974.

She was currently employed by Haggards Fine Furniture. She had previously retired from Sears and Evans Furniture Store.

Sally was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Apache where she had previously been a member of the Choir. She was a past member of the Stitch in Time Sewing Club.

Sally loved to garden, spend time with her family, and play with her dog Tuesday.

She is survived by 4 daughters, Cheryl and Kirk Henley, Debi and Robert Sample, Barbara and Larry Jordan, all of Yukon, and Allison and Rick Jurko, OKC; 13 grandchildren, Tyler Henley, Cale Sample, Ryan Jordan, Robert Jordan, Haley Jurko, Zakary Jurko, Michele Downey, Pamela Curry, KrystalHandrahan, Kirk Henley II, Dustin Jordan, Daniel Jordan, andCourtney Jordan; 6 great-grandchildren, Taylor Chase, Danni Chase, Regan Curry, Carly Downey,and Brooklynne Jordan; 2 sisters, Donna Putnam, OKC, and Jane Payne, Apache; brother, Jim Myers, Apache; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; a grandson-Kyle Henley; and a sister, Deana Payne.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Scholarship or Memorial Fund.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2006 at 1:30 PM in the First United Methodist Church, Apache, with Rev. Kyle Kiner, Pastor, officiating.
