Herbert Craton "Granny" Gilmore
June 18, 1896 ~ November 7, 1966


Funeral services for Herbert C. "Granny" Gilmore, 70, of Elgin, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Becker Funeral Home Chapel.

Rev. Sam Anderson, pastor of the first Baptist Church in Cache, will officiate. Burial will be in the Apache Cemetery. Mr. Gilmore died at 12:05 a.m. today in a Lawton Hospital.

He was born in Haskell County, Tex., June 18, 1896 and has resided in the Apache and Elgin areas since that time.

He married Daisy Dooley December 27, 1942, in Lawton.

She survives at the home address in Elgin along with four daughters. He is also survived by one brother, Adrian D. Gilmore of Apache.
