Troy Manley and Ronnie Orf officiating. She died Thursday, Novwmber 5, 2009, at her home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under direction of Crews Funeral Home. She was born July 23, 1922, in Mountain View, to Clement and Mary Grundy Tracy. She attended school in the Mountain View area until the family moved to Apache in 1938. She graduated from Apache High School in 1939. She attended Cameron University for two years then worked for 27 years at Fort Sill as a payroll clerk. She married Chester Gibson on August 7, 1947. She was a longtime member of the Wichita Mountain Horse Club and a member of First Christian Church in Apache. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Barbara Gibson, Shawnee; a daughter and son-in-law, Candace and Steve Polardi, Austin, Texas; a sister, Edith Benner, Apache; two nieces: Gloria and husband, Ken Wright, Lawton; and Karleen McGraw, Lawrenceburg, Ind.; and a nephew, Karl Ford, Earl Park, Ind. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters: Violet Goodson and Elma Willcox; and a brother, James Robert Tracy. |

Mrs. Gibson died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, in Lawton. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under direction of Crews Funeral Home. She was born April 5, 1923, in Sunset, Texas, to Edgar Newton and Roxie Inez Mayhue Parmer. She moved to Oklahoma as a girl and graduated from Apache High School. She worked at Fort Sill in the commissary for several years. She married and settled down to raise her family. She worked as a substitute teacher in the Lawton Public Schools system. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She loved gardening and raised many different vegetables. She enjoyed growing beautiful flowers and crocheting. She especially loved taking care of her family. Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law: Catherine Inez Gibson and Virginia Myers, both of Apache, and Linda and Keith Christenson, Sterling; a son, Kenny Gibson, Alvarado, Texas; nine grandchildren and their spouses: Chrystal and Steve Phearson, Elgin; Sherri Christenson, Elgin; Corina and Les Gee, Sterling; Chantz and Rebecca Christenson, Moore; Michael Myers, Pauls Valley; Charles Myers, Atoka; Shala and Gregg Hutchinson, Minco; Tony and Beth Myers, Yukon; and Loretta White and companion, Guy Navarro, Lawton; 12 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Mary Jo Parmer, Lawton; and a sister, Genita Howell, Tuttle. Gibson, 69, of Lawton, our precious angel was called home to her heavenly father Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015. Services are pending with Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service. Martha was born November 21, 1945, to Raymond and Maggie Threlkeld in Bours, Texas. She grew up in Apache. Martha married Jacky Gibson on September 5, 1964, and had two children. She worked for Haggar Slacks for 10 years and was a store manager for both Wal-mart and Goodwill. Survivors include her husband, Jacky Gibson, of the home; two children: Steven Gibson and Teresa Ritter, both of Lawton; four sisters: Betty Love and Donna Wars, both of Apache; and Skeeter Reussell Lahae and Lela Lahae, both of Lawton; one brother, Doug Threlkeld, of Wichita Falls, Texas; five grandchildren: Cody and Rossetta, Cally and Ashly, Kay Leigh and Josh, and Dayla and Shawn; and eight great-grandchildren. He passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020, in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 68. A graveside memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, at 10:30 A.M. at the Apache Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home of Apache. Kenneth graduated from Apache Public Schools. He was employed as a livestock feed truck driver. He was a hard worker his whole life and worked sun up to sundown six days a week. He loved his animals which included 6 mules, a donkey and a horse. He enjoyed collecting antiques, especially old western items. He was preceded in death by his mother, Flossie Gibson; father, Jack Gibson; sister, Linda Christenson; and brothers, Larry Gibson and Ricky Gibson. Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Shala Jo Hutchinson of Minco; stepson/nephew, Tony Myers of Oklahoma City; grandchildren: Cara Beth Hutchinson, Colby Alan Hutchinson, Hunter Daniel Myers; sisters: Virginia Ann Myers, Cathy Inez Gibson, both of Lawton; numerous nieces and nephews; friend and companion, Amy Guerrero; and former spouse, Betty Jean Gibson. She passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022, in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 61. Viewing will be on Monday, September 12, between 10 AM and 7 PM at Crews Funeral Home. Funeral services are planned for Tuesday, September 13, at 2 PM at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Apache with Rev. Caleb McDowell officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Myers, Henry Rodriguez, Victor Rodriguez, Vincent Rodriguez, Hector Rodriguez, Terry White, Terry White III and Hunter Myers. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Crews Funeral Home. Cathy attended school in Apache. She loved listening to upbeat music, go fishing and swimming. She was quite handy when it came to woodworking. She built her on shed and finished the inside, including the plumbing. Her most favorite thing to build was small log cabins. Her favorite color was blue. She attended the 1st Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Christenson; and brother, Kenny Gibson. Cobb, OK to Glenn and Maudie Lee (Stafford) Gibson. He passed away at his home west of Apache on August 20th at the age of 56. Ray worked in the oil field for Hennessey Well Service and then for Hollytex before going to work for the Apache Co-op. He then went to work for Gilbreath Farms as well as running his own farm. Recently, he began the Chicken House, an auction house for small animals, in Apache. Ray was a member of the Apache Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture. He loved going rattlesnake hunting with his friends. He also enjoyed hunting as well as eating Chinese food. He spent a lot of time at the lake with his family and friends. He was always bringing the ‘water toys’ as well as ice-cold melon and sodas. He was loved by his family and many friends. He is survived by: 1 daughter- Tina and husband, Lee Griffin Rocky, OK 4 grandchildren- Jacob, McKenna, Cheyenne and Wendy His aunt- Mary Jenkins Apache, OK 2 brothers and their wives- Lavon and Gwen Gibson Apache, OK Roy and Martha Gibson Apache, OK 5 sisters- Alene and Bill Ciccarelli Apache, OK Pauline and Lyle Crigler Apache, OK Irene and Allen Tate Cache, OK Laverne Metzger Apache, OK Goldie and Jackie Anderson Cyril, OK Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
