Mike Gamble Dies

APACHE - Funeral services for Mike Gamble were held Sunday afternoon, at the Apache Methodist church. Gamble was stricken with a heart attack while driving a car on vacation at Osceallo, Iowa.

His wife, Minta, 78, and brother, W.B. Gamble of LeCygne, Kans., were seriously injured when the car veered into a ravine on U.S. 69.

The victim, 77, was a pioneer resident of Apache.

He was a retired rural mail carrier out of Apache, retiring in 1945 after 35 years of service.
