She passed away November 19th in Lawton, OK at the age of 76. She attended school in Cordell. She married James Ford on May 4, 1953 in Sayre, OK. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1992. They moved to Apache in 1961. She worked in retail for many years and was always known for her friendliness, wit and humor. She loved taking pictures of her customers and co-workers. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Apache. Goldie adored children. She also loved animals and enjoyed gardening. She is survived by: 2 sons - James, Jr. and wife, Rosa Ford Alex, OK andJerry Ford Apache, OK; 2 grandchildren - Anita Mae Ford and Corey David Ford; 5 great-grandchildren - Megan Matlock, Josie Ford, Johnathan Ford, Mason James Ford, Sierra Paige Ford; 2 Brothers - N.C. Jr. and wife, Rita Oliver Oro Valley, AZ, Jesse James Oliver Cordell, OK; 2 Sisters - Hazel Brooks Nacogdoches, TX Yvonne Boyette Jones, OK. She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Her husband; 3 brothers - Lavern Oliver, John Corbin Oliver, George Oliver; 1 sister - Edith Oliver. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 25th at 2:00 P.M. at the Crews Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bud Jones officiating. A private committal will be held at a later date. Services are under the direction of Crews Funeral Home. |
