Apache, Caddo CO, Oklahoma June 1952 June 30, 1878 ~ June 16, 1952 William Ed Dugger, a farmer citizen of Apache, dropped dead a block from his home in Stecker at about 7:30 p.m. Monday evening while returning to his home from the Trippe grocery store. His body was found lying in the road by Jim Riley, a neighbor. He was 73 years old. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church at 2:30 p.m. yesterday by Rev J. C. Earl od Cyril, who was assisted by Rev C. C. Scott, the pastor. Burial was in Fairview cemetery under direction of the Crews funeral home. Pallbears were Walter Trippe, Thurman Stafford, Chas Johnson, Pete Bailey, W. W. Marr and Chas Moran. MrDugger was born at Wiley, Texas June 30, 1878. He came to Oklahoma before statehood and had resided in the vicinity of Apache 40 years. He had lived at Stecker the last seven years. He was married to Miss Ernie Crow June 6, 1907, and to this union were born three daughters. Mrs Dugger died in 1936. Mr Dugger was married to Mrs Ollie Sharpe December 27, 1940. Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs George Walker of Cyril, Mrs Anna Woods of Talleson, Ariz and Mrs Ida Marks of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Bird Dugger of McAlester and Wiley Dugger of Artesia NM; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. |
