© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, February 5, 1958 March 31, 1881 ~ February 3, 1958 Retired Rancher Dies Monday At Home In Apache Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Apache Church of Christ for Albert Dudley, 76-year-old retired rancher. Dudley died Monday at his home in Apache. Death had lived for 40 years on a ranch west of Apache since 1945. Before moving to the Apache area he had lived at Wheatland, Okla. Born March 31, 1881, in Texas, he came to Oklahoma some time later. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, a son, Harvey, both of Apache; a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Peterson, Lawton; a step-daughter, Mrs. John Smith, Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, George, Apache; two sisters, Mrs. Zona Churchill, Fort Cobb; and Mrs. Ruth Goff, of Apache; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.br> |

Brown, pastor of the Christian church at Colcord, conducted funeral services for Mrs. Albert W. Dudley in the Apache Christian church Wednesday morning. Mrs. Dudley died Monday at her home at Apache after and illness of four months. Mr. and Mrs. Dudley were residents of the Alden community for many years. Mrs. Dudley was born at Fayetteville, Ark., Dec.ember 14, 1882. She moved to the Indian territory with her parents and settled at Wheatland in 1889. She was married to Albert W. Dudley April 20, 1904, at Oklahoma City, and they moved to Alden Dececember 31, 1907. they made their home in Apache in 1945. She was a member of the Christian church for 32 years. She is survived by her husband, a son, Harvey H. Dudley of Apache; a daughter, Mrs. Hazer Dudley Starr of Lawton; a brother, Earl West, of Shamrock, Tex., and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Molloy and Mrs. C.M. Courney, both of Hollis. Also surviving are four grandchildren and a great grandson. Bearers were Frank Hestand, curt Brady, Roy Lowery, Fred Kelling, Phil Sims, P.M. Tarrent and George Hewes. Among those from here attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. John G. Moore, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny McCullough, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hestand, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Waide, Mr. and Mrs. P.B. Walter and Lee Richards. |
