Cobb, OK to Robert Edmund and Mary Frances [Spain] Rogers. She passed away November 7th in Lawton, OK at the age of 92. She graduated from Ft. Cobb High School. She married Donald Dahl on May 10, 1939 in Duncan, OK. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1997. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed serving her church and loved her church family. She helped with the Children's Choir for many years. She and her husband owned and operated the Phillips 66 station in Apache until it closed in 1960. She was a member of the Mary Martha Circle at the First Christian Church for many years. Edith was an avid gardener, enjoyed quilting and cooking. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by: 1 Son and his wife - Donald L. and Diane Dahl, Jr. Tulsa, OK; 2 Daughters - Diana and husband, Franklin Piercey Scranton, AR and Sharyl Lindsey Apache, OK; 4 grandchildren and spouses - Holli and Tim Bondie, Brian and Wende Dahl, Shawn and Misty Lindsey, Justin and Tina Lindsey; 10 great-grandchildren - Taylor Lindsey, Micheal Lindsey, Jordan Lindsey, Zachary Lindsey, Jacob Lindsey, Brody Lindsey, Lainey Lindsey, Raven Pemwell, Quinn Pemwell, Mindee Pemwell; 2 brothers - Pete Rogers Bakersfield, CA and Herman and wife, Connie Rogers Bakersfield, CA; 4 sisters - Vestal Southwick Bakersfield, CA, Mary Hooker Bakersfield, CA, Her twin sister-Edna Mitchell Coronado, CA and Ann Thomas Decatur, TX She was preceded in death by: Her husband; 1 brother - Alvin Rogers; 1 great-granddaughter - Katlyn Rae Lindsey. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 9th at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church with Reverend Franklin Piercey, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home. |
