© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, December 21, 1955 Apache Couple Observes Seventieth Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Crawford of Apache celebrated their seventieth wedding anniversary Tuesday, December 13, quietly in their home with neighbors and friends dropping in to wish them happiness and to bring gifts and cards. Mr. and Mrs. Crawford were married December 13, 1885 at Montevallo, Mo. They moved to Texas nine years later and then in 1922 came to Oklahoma and settled near Carnegie where they will be remembered as "Uncle Marion and Aunt Sadie: Crawford. They moved to Apache in 1938. Mr. Crawford is 95 and Mrs. Crawford in 88. The Crawfords have eight children, seven living, 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. The four daughters are: Mrs. Ethel Snider and Mrs. Gwendolin Hudgins of Apache, Mollie Barnard of Fort Worth, and Mrs. A.M. Bird of Amarillo. The three sons are: John of Apache; Walker of Cyril, and J.F., of Houston, Texas. |
© Hodge Funeral Home Fletcher, Oklahoma Thursday, 13 January 2005 Wilson Leon Crawford 1928 ~ 2005 CYRIL-Funeral for Wilson Leon Crawford, 76, Fletcher, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cyril First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Echols, pastor, and the Rev. Bill Patterson, Cyril, officiating. Mr. Crawford died, Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at his home east of Fletcher. Burial will be a Masonic service conducted by Robert Shipe, Del City, will be at Fairview Cemetery, Apache, under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher. He was born Jan. 14, 1928, in Carnegie. He grew up in the Apache-Boone-Carnegie areas, then moved to Amarillo, where he finished high school. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Carol Moser on Sept. 15, 1950, in Cyril. They lived in Cyril for a short time before making their home east of FLetcher, where he lived until his death. He was a member of of Cyril Baptist Church; the Masonic lodges of Cyril, Chickasha and Moore; the Eastern Star, Knights of Columbus and the Scottish Rite. He farmed in this area. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Elizabeth Ann and Dewayne Bradshaw, Oklahoma City; thress sons and two daughters-in-law: Walker Brad Crawford and Tanya, Fletcher; Matthew Clay Crawford and Dona, Cyril; and James Dodson, Cache; three sisters: Evalue Griffith, Amarillo, Texas; Coletha Moss, Cyril; and Gwendolyn Kester, Anadarko; nine grandchildren: Melissa Noakes, Amber Scott, Jakob Crawford, Jeremy Crawford, Jonathan Crawford, Shelbi Crawford, Ian Mitchell, Jessie Dodson and Gentry Dodson; and a great-grandchild, Caden Noakes. © Chickasha Express~Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Monday, 20 November 2006 Carol Larue [Moser] Crawford August 22, 1935 ~ November 16, 2006 Funeral service for Carol Larue Crawford, age 71 of Fletcher, Oklahoma, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2006, in the Cyril First Baptist Church. Dwayne Bradshaw officiated and Rev. Charles Echols assisted. Carol was born the daughter of Clayton Moser and Mortie Haney Moser on August 22, 1935 in Cyril, Oklahoma. She died on November 16, 2006 in Chickasha. Carol grew up in Cyril and graduated from Cyril High School. While in high school, she married Wilson Crawford on September 15, 1950. She attended Cameron University in Lawton and obtained her LPN license. She then worked as a nurse at the Cyril Hospital and Cyril Nursing Home. Carol then worked at Grady Memorial Hospital for over twenty years. She was a member of the Cyril Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wilson Crawford and one brother, James "Buck" Moser. Survivors include: Daughter: Ann Bradshaw of Oklahoma City; Son: Brad Crawford of Fletcher; Son: Matthew Crawford of Cyril; Son: James Dodson of Cache; Sister: June Rodgers of Cullman, Alabama; Nine Grandchildren; Three Great-Grandchildren. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery in Apache. Service was under the direction of the McRay's Cyril Funeral Home. |
