For Mrs. Conaway Services were in Apache Baptist church at 10 a.m. Wednesday for Mrs. Nora A. Conaway who died unexpectedly at her home on South Prosperity in Carnegie Sunday afternoon. Burial was in the Fairview cemetery at Apache under direction of the Crews funeral home. Mrs. Conaway was in her usual health and was making preparations to accompany her daughter to Apache for a few days visit when she was stricken. She was a member of the Quakers church. Mrs. Conaway was born February 24, 1873, near Hubbard, Texas, and had lived in Carnegie the past 25 years. She was married to Isaac Franklin Conaway in 1892 and the family came to Oklahoma and homesteaded a claim in Rogers Mills county in 1900. Mr. Conaway died at Roosevelt January 29, 1925. Survivors are seven daughters, Mrs. Pearl Hall, Mrs. Clyde McGown and Mrs. Mary Blassingame, all of Buckeye, Ariz.; Mrs. Hazel Harris, Hedrick; Mrs. Frankie Mann, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Lola Sheen and Mrs. Merle Scammahorn, Apache, and two sons, Clarence E. Conaway, Clinton, and Stanley Conaway, Oklahoma City, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. |
