Walter Campbell Funeral Services Held Here April 1

Funeral services for Walter Campbell, 85, were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 1996 at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Floyd Been of Oklahoma City and the Rev. Dan Palesano of Lawton officiating.

He died March 28, 1996 in Chickasha.

Campbell was born December 29, 1910 at Cooper, Texas.

He moved to the Green Valley community in 1928 and to Apache in 1932.

He married Vivian Grace Smith on October 21, 1933 in Lawton. She preceded him in death orb March 16. 1992.

He worked as a Grader Operator for Caddo County until he retired in 1975.

Survivors include: three sons, Lewis of San Angelo, Texas, Jesse of Oklahoma City, and Kenneth of Lawton; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and one brother, James of Lovington, N.M.

He was also preceded in death by two sons, James Earl and Walter Dean.

Burial was in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.

Edwin Dale Campbell
June 11, 1930 ~ August 21, 2016


Edwin Dale Campbell Of Anadarko, Oklahoma was born June 11, 1930 in Washita, OK to Charles Harvey and Lee Nettie [Thompson] Campbell. He passed away in the arms of his loving wife, Marie, on August 21, 2016 at his home in Anadarko at the age of 86.

Dale graduated from Apache High School in 1949.

He was baptized in the Church of Christ in 1952.

He married the love of his life, Lenna Marie Gilman, on October 9, 1952 in Lawton, OK.

Dale went to work for the Apache Telephone Coop then Coca Cola Bottling Co. before being drafted in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He served in Communications from 1953 until 1955 when he was honorably discharged into the active reserves for another six years.

When Dale came back to Apache, he went to work for the Apache Farmers Coop in 1956 until 1963 when he went to the Verden Farmers Coop as a manager until 1965. He then worked for United Farmers Coop in Marshall, OK as an assistant manager until 1965 when he went to Braman, OK and worked as Branch manager at the Blackwell Farmers Coop until 1968. He then became manager for Ross Seed & Grain in Chickasha until 1970. He retired as Assistant manager for the Farmers Coop Association in Ponca City, OK in 1995.

Dale was very active in the communities he lived in. He was a member of the Apache Jaycees, the Lions Club in Verden, the American Legion and Foreign Wars of Ponca City and was a volunteer firefighter both at Marshall and Braman, OK.

He was a faithful member of the Oak Street Church of Christ in Apache.

He loved cars and was friendly to everyone he met.

Dale also loved his grandchildren. But his one true love was his wife, Marie, whom he cared for his entire life, and loved deeply.

He is survived by: His wife, Marie, of the home A daughter-in-law, Linda Kay [Epperson] Campbell 3 grandchildren- Dena Kay and husband, Greg Mantia; Jennilee Dawn and husband, Benjamin Buckley; Christopher Dale Campbell 3 Great-grandchildren- Marion Julianna Mantia, Joseph Thomas Buckley, Maxwell Christopher Buckley.

He was preceded in death by: His parents 2 sons- Steven Dean Campbell, Ricky Dale Campbell 1 brother-Charles Leroy Campbell 3 sisters- Rubye Brownback, Minnie Leona Cook, Mary Novalena Dean Aldridge.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 25th at 1:30 P.M. at the Oak Street Church of Christ with Roy Young officiating.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.

Erma Loretta [Kyle] Campbell
December 7, 1942 ~ December 8, 2018


Erma “Loretta” [Kyle] Campbell, Oklahoma City, was born December 7, 1942 in Apache to Acy and Martha [Claborn] Kyle. She passed away peacefully on December 8, 2018 at the age of 76.

Viewing will be held Monday, December 10, 2018 from 9am-7pm and Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 9am-7pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 3:00pm at the First Baptist Church, Apache, officiated by Jimmy Cox.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under direction of Crews Funeral Home.

Loretta married Jesse Campbell on March 23, 1963 in Apache.

She was a child care provider, opening her home to many children throughout the years.

Loretta was a huge Oklahoma City Thunder fan and never missed watching a game. She was also the biggest Elvis fan. She loved watching The Price is Right, playing Skip Bo and crocheting. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Martha Barton and Acy Kyle; a daughter, Shuretta Lee Campbell; and brother, Dewayne Kyle.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse Campbell, of the home; son, Jesse Campbell II; daughter, Tonja Chapman and husband Larry; grandchildren: Karli Soltero and husband Adrian; Kaitlyn Chapman; Juan Chapman; Jessica Campbell; and Paisley Campbell; great-grandson, Cooper Soltero; brothers, Ronnie Kyle and wife Anne and Stanley Kyle; and sister, Brenda Mitchell and husband Kenneth.

Pallbearers will be: Phillip Kyle, Bryan Kyle, Kevin Kyle, Sheldon Mitchell, Paul Kyle and Michael Kyle and honorary pallbearers will be: Scott Page and Jeremey Akes.

Kenneth Wayne Campbell
December 16, 1942 ~ October 30, 2014


Kenneth Wayne Campbell Of Apache, Oklahoma Was born December 16, 1942 south of Apache to Walter and Vivian Grace [Smith] Campbell. He passed away October 30th, 2014 in Lawton at the age of 71.

Kenneth served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.

After his years in the service, he worked as a truck driver for Pasmore and later T&G.

He was a member of the American Legion.

He enjoyed fishing, doing yardwork and collecting toy model cars. He was also known as a great storyteller to his friends and family.

He married Myra Kay Clark on December 22, 1997 in Lawton, OK. She preceded him in death June 1, 2013.

He is survived by: 2 daughters - Debra and husband, Eric Pederson, Anadarko, OK Terri Sewell and J.T. Tomlin, Elgin, OK 2 sons - Mike Hoggard, Lawton, OK James Hoggard, Lawton, OK 4 grandchildren - Eric Pederson, Jr.; Cherista Pederson, Jennifer and Andrew Dunn. Blake Sewell and his fiancée, Lacy McElhaney 8 great-grandchildren 1 brother and his wife- Jesse and Loretta Campbell, Oklahoma City, OK Several nieces and nephews Pete McDaniel, who grew up as a brother, Apache, OK 4 dogs - Buffy, Taz, Dakota and Voo.

He was preceded in death by - His parents An infant daughter 3 brothers - Lewis Campbell, James Campbell, Dean Campbell.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 3rd at 11:00 A.M. in the Crews Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Les Claborn officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.

Mary Kay [Clark] Campbell
March 4, 1941 ~ June 1, 2013


Myra Kay Campbell Of Apache, Oklahoma Was born March 4, 1941 in Bridgeport, Ill to Joseph and Leona Bernadine [Polk] Clark. She passed away June 1, 2013 in Lawton, OK at the age of 72.

Myra grew up in Medicine Park.

Myra worked for Comanche County Memorial Hospital in their dietary services as a Food Service supervisor for over 25 years until her retirement in 1997.

She married Kenneth Wayne Campbell on December 22, 1997 in Lawton.

She enjoyed taking care of horses when she was younger and loved her dogs. She liked to go camping and fishing. She also enjoyed gardening.

She was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by: Her husband, Kenneth, of the home, 2 sons - Mike Hoggard Lawton, James Hoggard Apache, 2 daughters - Terri Sewell and J.T. Tomlin Elgin, OK, Deborah Suzanne and husband, Eric Pederson Anadarko, OK, 5 grandchildren - Jennifer and husband, Andrew Dunn; Blake Sewell and fiancée, Lacy McElhaney; Eric Pederson, Jr.; Cherista Pederson, 6 great-grandchildren - Haley Dunn, Hunter Dunn, Hailey Sewell, Karson Morrison, D.J. Morris, Addison Pederson, 1 sister and husband - Rosalee and Jim Hill Lawton, 1 Nephew - Greg Glover, 1 great-nephew and wife - Jarrod and Carrie Glover, Her special friend of 52 years - Letha Owens.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 5th at 10:00 A.M. in the Crews Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Les Claborn officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.

ANADARKO - Funeral for Ricky Dale Campbell, 55, Anadarko, will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the Oak Street Church of Christ in Apache, with Roy Young officiating.

Mr. Campbell died Friday, May 1, 2009, in Anadarko.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Apache, under direction of Crews Funeral Home, Apache.

He was born April 17, 1954, in Kingfisher, to Edwin Dale and Lenna Marie [Gilman] Campbell.

He graduated from high school and then attended and graduated from Francis Tuttle Vo-Tech.

He worked as an independent insurance agent for 28 years.

He lived several places including Ponca City, Enid, and Edmond, before returning to Anadarko three months ago. He was presently employed by Wal-Mart in Anadarko.

He was a member of the Oak Street Church of Christ in Apache.

Survivors include his parents, Anadarko; two daughters: Dena Kay [Campbell] Mantia, Edmond; and Jennilee Dawn Campbell, Norman; a son, Christopher Dale Campbell, Edmond; a granddaughter, Marion Julianna Pierce, Edmond; and a step-granddaughter, Audrey J. Mantia, Edmond.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Dean Campbell; paternal grandparents, Charles H. and Lee Nettie [Thompson] Campbell; and maternal grandparents, George William and Mildred Inez [Moser] Gilman.
