Mountain View, Oklahoma November 29, 2020 August 5, 1943 ~ November 29, 2020 Gladys Brock, age 77 of Apache, OK passed away November 29th, 2020 surrounded by family in Mountain View, Oklahoma. Gladys was born August 5, 1943 in Trenton, New Jersey to Clarence And Ethel [Jackson] Lavene. They moved to Oklahoma when Gladys was young and she attended and graduated from Fort Cobb High School. She married Aarta Brock and to this union was born 5 children, whom she loved and adored. Gladys was quite the shopper, enjoying every minute spent. She loved to collect chickens and had quite the collection. She planted mums in her tubs and enjoyed watching them bloom. Her past times included watching western movies and the Hallmark Channel. She was a wonderful cook and taught her family those skills. Family was important to her, spending as much time with each one and helping when she could. Gladys loved going to church and being with her church family. She was a Godly woman and loved the Lord. She was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Apache. Gladys has gone on to her heavenly home but will always live within our hearts. Left to cherish her memory are her 4 sons: Allen Brock and wife, Brenda, Darrell Brock and wife, Debbie, Kevin Brock and wife, Calissa, Mark Brock and wife, Shawna; 2 brothers: Kenneth Jump and Eddie Jump; 3 sisters: Janice Lavene, Deon Miller and Gwen Fouts; 19 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren along with other relatives and friends. Gladys is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Rebecca Sawyer, grandson, Adam Brock, great grandson, Isaac Sanders, sisters: Linda Brock and Stella Davis. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the Fairview Cemetery, Apache, OK with Les Claborn, officiating. Services under the direction of Fort Cobb Funeral Home, Fort Cobb, OK. |
