Chester Curtis Rose

Chester Curtis Rose Of Cyril, Oklahoma Was born August 20, 1927 in Wicks, AR to James Steven and Ruby Ethel Romaines Rose. He passed away Sunday, December 7th at Chickasha at the age of 87.

He served in the Army as a mechanic during World War II.

He married Betty Lou Campbell on August 20, 1948 in Guthrie, OK. She preceded him in death on November 12, 2010.

He worked as a millwright building power plants.

Chester was a member of the Creekmore Masonic Lodge #74 and was a Shriner. He was a member of the Calvary Temple Church in Cyril

He is survived by: 3 sons and their wives- Harold and Raynelle Rose Anadarko, OK Bobby and Phyllis Rose Morrison, OK John and Shannon Rose Aiken, SC 1 daughter and her husband- JoAnn and Bob Kincaid Wilmington, NC 11 grandchildren- Amy Roberts, Scott Rose, Jeremy Scott, Carsen Scott, Jeff Rose, Lori Woods, Stephanie Kennedy, Steven Rose, Kelli Scott, Katie Stein, Kevin Wallace 21 great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by: His parents His wife, Betty Rose 1 sister, Florine Nea.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 11th at 2:00 P.M. at the Calvary Temple with Pastor Kip Ackley officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Celestial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Cyril Funeral Home.

Serving at pallbearers are: Scott Rose,J effrey Rose, Gilbert Kennedy, Shane Woods, Hunter McAlister, Caleb Potter Honorary pallbearers are: Jeremy Scott, Carsen Scott, Steven Rose, Jeff Scott, Bob Kincaid

Betty Lou [Campbell] Rose

CYRIL Funeral for Betty Lou Rose, 81, Cyril, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Calvary Temple Church with Kip Ackley, pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Rose died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, south of Anadarko.

Burial will be at Celestial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Cyril Funeral Home.

She was born Aug. 14, 1929, in Mulhall to John and Louisa Bryant Campbell. She married Chester Curtis Rose on Aug. 20, 1948, in Guthrie. She was a member of Calvary Temple in Cyril. She worked as a waitress, and was employed in various nursing homes as a nurse's aide and served as activities director for a time. She also co-owned a landscaping business at one time. She enjoyed taking part in many activities, including helping with Cub Scouts, doing crafts, serving as a member on the PTA and playing as a catcher for a softball team. She was on a bowling team and helped with church activities. She was a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband; three sons and daughters-in-law: Harold and Raynelle Rose, Anadarko; Bobby and Phyllis Rose, Fairfax; and John and Shannon Rose, Aiken, S.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Bob Kincaid, Wilmington, N.C.; nine grandchildren: Amy Conway, Scott Rose, Jeremy Scott, Carsen Scott, Jeff Rose, Lori Woods, Stephanie Kennedy, Steven Rose and Kelli Scott; 12 great-grandchildren with three more expected soon; and a sister, Elsie Mae Lowe, Broussard, La.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: James Campbell, Edwin Campbell and Tandy Lee Campbell; and three sisters: Elva Rae Long, Mary Etta Campbell and Cara Ann Campbell.
