Isla Marie [Clift] Roberts

Isla Marie Clift Roberts of Cyril, Oklahoma was born January 1, 1918 north of Cyril to Everett Jackson and Rose Ethel [Weber] Clift. She passed away May 8th in Chickasha at the age of 96.

Mrs. Roberts married Eldon Brady Roberts on December 1, 1937 in Chickasha. He preceded in death July 2, 1998. Together, they made their home in Cyril where she proudly raised her family. She was known for her green thumb, and she raised the most beautiful flowers, even selling them in arrangements from time to time. Isla also enjoyed music, playing piano and singing. She also embroidered many beautiful items for her home. She was a lifelong member of the Assembly of God Church in Cyril. Her family was the center of her life. She loved cooking and caring for them.

She is survived by: 2 sons and their wives-Alvin and Laura Roberts Cyril, Dr. Lonnie and Sharon Roberts Plano, TX., 2 daughters-Sharon Marie Snodgrass Mustang, OK, Carolyn Esmon Cyril, 10 grandchildren-Teresa Zwolle, Danna Simmons, Jonathan Brady Roberts, Sherri Roberts, Jason Roberts, Billy Snodgrass, Diana Farquhar, David Snodgrass, Lisa Greubel, Keith Esmon, 2 sisters and their husbands-Ruth and Lowell Moore Guthrie, OK and Wanda and Freddie Butler Verden, OK

She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Everett and Ethel Clift, Her husband, Eldon Roberts, 2 grandsons- Allen Snodgrass, Gregory Esmon 5 brothers- Eldon Clift, Woodrow Clift, Vernon Clift and 2 infants, 1 sister- Elma Walker.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 13, at 2:00 P.M. at the Assembly of God Church in Cyril with Pastor John Zwolle officiating and assisted by Lynn Walker. Burial will follow in Celestial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Cyril Funeral Home.

Ila Iona Davis Roberts

Services were held January 4, 2000 at the First Christian Church in Cyril, Caddo co., Ok. for Ila Iona Roberts who died January 2, 2000 in Cyril.

Burial was in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Binyon-Funeral Home of Cyril.

Roberts was born February 26, 1921 in Cyril to Jeff and Lilly [Cyrus] Davis.

She married in Fort Smith, Ark. C.E. "Jack" Roberts.

She grew up in Cyril and attended the Cyril Schools.

She and her husband moved to Apache, Caddo co. Ok. and operated the City Cafe for three years. They moved west of Cyril in 1954. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother and one grandchild.

Survivors include two sons, one granddaughter and one brother.
