Monday, September 25, 2006 Earl Dwayne Perkins Earl Dwayne Perkins 55, of Marlow, died Saturday, September 23, 2006, in Lawton. Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Assembly of God Church in Cyril. Interment will be in Celestial Gardens Cemetery under direction of McRay's Cyril Funeral Home. Dwayne was born Dec. 25, 1950, in Oklahoma City, to Earl Perkins and Laverne Raybelle Weaver. He graduated from Duncan High School in 1969. After graduating, he entered the U.S. Marine Corps and served one tour of duty in Vietnam. After his tour of duty, he returned to Duncan and attended Cameron College in Lawton. In 1972, he moved to Cement and worked in the oil field the rest of his life. Dwayne also loved to fish and play sports during his spare time. These were things he enjoyed doing from the time he was a kid. Survivors include a daughter and husband, Jan and John Strand of Cordova, Tenn.; a son, Craig Perkins of Healdton; grandchildren, Kendal, Stockton, Chayne, Cayden and Allie; his parents, Earl and Raybelle Perkins of Duncan; four sisters and their husbands, Cheryl and David Atwell of Duncan, Terry and Bobby Briscoe, and Debbie Wilkinson, all of Cyril, and Donna and Mark Hargus of Cement; a very special friend, Christine Pervine; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and a brother-in-law, Glen Wilkinson. |
