Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008 Darlene Janell [Cribbs] Patterson CYRIL Funeral for Darlene Janell Patterson, 72, Cyril, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Cyril Full Gospel Church with Donnie Miller, pastor and David Thompson officiating. Mrs. Patterson died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, in Lawton. Burial will be in Celestial Gardens Cemetery under direction of McRay's Cyril Funeral Home. She was born Feb. 14, 1936, in Cyril. She graduated from Cyril High School in 1954. She married Bill Patterson on Oct. 30, 1954, in Cyril. For the next 23 years, they lived in many places as they followed his military career. In 1970, they moved back to Cyril. She was a charter member of Cyril Full Gospel Church. Survivors include her husband; three children: Debbie Thompson, Greg Patterson, and Roger Patterson; a brother and sisters: Haskell Cribbs, Virginia Edwards, Imogene Ackley, Joan Edwards, Joyce Nichols, Patricia Sikes, and Janice Wells; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Clinton and Carrie Cribbs; her stepmother, Bycie Cribbs; and brothers: Charles Edwin and Winright Cribbs. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International or the Town of Cyril Historical Society. |
