Chickasha, Oklahoma August 2009 Floyd Dean Parks September 5, 1928 ~ August 17, 2009 Funeral service for Floyd Dean Parks, age 80, of Cement, Oklahoma, will be held at 2 pm on Friday, August 21, 2009, in the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Cement. Rev. John Zwolle will officiate. Floyd Dean was born the son of James Ivy Parks and Lucy Hayes Parks on September 5, 1928, in Davidson, Oklahoma. He went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2009 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He married Marilyn Rose Lankister in February of 1957 in Texas. Floyd picked cotton for a living and made fence posts cutting them out of trees. Most of his life, he worked in full service gas stations. He owned and operated Floyd's Fina Station from 1960 to 1987 in Cement. Floyd loved to garden and raise all kinds of flowers. He loved to work outside. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivy and Lucy Parks, and his wife, Marilyn Parks. Survivors include: Son: David Lee Parks of Cement, Daughter: Teresa Diana Parks Aldanas of Carrollton, Texas, Grandchildren: Brandon and Rebecca Parks and Walter and Dianna Aldanas, Brother: Raymond Parks of Cement, Sister: Anna Bell Mandrell of Chickasha, Brother: Kenneth Wayne Parks of Cyril, Brother: J. C. Parks of Wichita, Kansas. Interment will be in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Cyril, Oklahoma. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Cyril Funeral Home. |
