Beverly Margaret [Thompson] O'Malley
June 15, 1938 ~ May 3, 2013


Beverly Margaret O'Malley of Edmond, Oklahoma was born June 15, 1938 at Saddle Mountain, OK to George Dewey and Vida Kathryn [Curtis] Thompson. She passed away May 3, 2013 in Edmond, OK at the age of 74.

Beverly married Melvin James O'Malley on May 16, 1954 in Cyril, OK. He preceded her in death May 8, 1990.

She worked for Cook Telephone Company for several years before going to school to obtain her LPN license. She worked for the Cyril Nursing Home and retired as the Director of Nursing.

After she retired, she and her husband operated O'Malley's Hot Shot Service.

She volunteered her time as nursery nurse at the First Baptist Church where she was a member. She also was the summer camp nurse.

While her children were growing up, she was a Cub Scout Den mother, a Brownies and Girls Scouts leader, and Cyril school class parent.

She was a member of the Kiwanis Club and the JayCees. She was an avid OU football fan. She also enjoyed crossstitch, knitting and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by: 2 daughters and their husbands-Rene` and Dale Spradlin Waurika, OK, Shannon and Tony Whaley Edmond, OK, 7 grandchildren-Jamie and wife, Bridget Strong, Clint Chaney, Chancy and wife, Whitney Chaney, Charlie O'Malley, Noah O'Malley, Patrick O'Malley, Sarah O'Malley, 2 step-grandchildren-Matt Spradlin, Zack Spradlin, 8 Great-grandchildren-Lanston Strong, Lathan Strong, Lynleigh Strong, Lincoln Strong, C.J. Chaney, Cadon Chaney, Connor O'Malley, Madison O'Malley, 1 step-great-grandson-Oakley Spradlin, 1 brother and his wife- Danny and Martha Thompson Houston, TX, 1 sister and her husband-Patsy and Hank Sifford Belfry, MT

She was preceded in death by-Her parents, Her husband, 1 son- Charles "Chuck" O'Malley, 1 grandson- Carson Strong, 1 sister- Lana Stewart

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 7th at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Cyril with Pastor Travis Wollenburg officiating. Burial will follow at Celestial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Cyril Funeral Home

Funeral service for Charles Dewey "Chuck" O'Malley, 45, of Cyril, Okla., will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2001, at the Full Gospel Holiness Church. Rev. Donnie Miller will officiate, and Rev. Bill Patterson will assist.

Charles Dewey O'Malley was born October 25, 1955, in Chickasha, Okla. He died on Tuesday, July 3, 2001, in Cyril.

Burial will be in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery under the direction the McRay's Cyril Funeral Home.
