Wednesday, October 18, 1995 Roy McDaniel Funeral service for Roy McDaniel, 72, of Alex, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 20, 1995 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Roy McDaniel was born August 9, 1923 in Cooperton, Oklahoma, the son of Alexander and Martha [Igo] McDaniel, and died Wednesday, October 18, 1995 in Chickasha. Mr. McDaniel was a diesel mechanic for Massey-Ferguson in Chickasha for 20 years. He was the owner of Land/Ar Equipment Company for three years, and was a game technician for nine years. Mr. McDaniel retired in 1988. He and Augustine Jenkins were married July 6, 1970, in Duncan. Mr. McDaniel served in the U.S. Navy from 1941-1945. He was preceded in death by his parents. twp brothers. Elmer and Clyde McDaniel and two sisters, Maudie Fisher and Lois Dyer. Survivors include his wife, Augustine Jenkins McDaniel of the home; two sons, Arnold McDaniel of Oceanside, California, and Joseph Wayne McDaniel of Chickasha; two daughters, Barbara Hewes and Brenda Franks, both of Lindsay; two step sons, Don L. Scott of Forney, Texas, and Gerald E. Scott of Terrell, Texas; two brothers, Lewis McDaniel of Holcomb, Kansas, and Troy McDaniel of Chickasha; 13 grandchildren and 4-great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery, Cyril, Oklahoma, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
