She married Earl Harden Mahan on Aug 13, 1949, in Henrietta, Texas, and was a homemaker. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Oleta Houtz and Lavada Wilson; brother, John Sain; and a great grandson. Survivors include a daughter, Belinda Peavler, Ardmore; a son, Jim Mahan, Mead; a sister, Dixie Berry; two brothers, Jim Sain, Cyril, Bill Sain, Elgin; eight grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. |
Jimmy Earl Mahan Jimmy Earl Mahan of Kenefic, Oklahoma was born August 7, 1950 in Fletcher, OK to Earl Harden and Mary Frances [Sain] Mahan. He passed away July 3rd in Durant, OK at the age of 60. Growing up, Jimmy had a paper route with the Daily Ardmoreite. He was very proud of this job. He attended college after graduating from high school, then went to work in the oil field. After becoming disabled from injury, he retired from the oil field. He started his own business as a striper guide. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his 4-wheeler. He is survived by: 3 sons - James Mahan Ardmore, OK, Jonathan Mahan Skiatook, OK, Joshua Mahan Florida, 3 daughters - Keri and husband, James Quigley Ardmore, OK, Jaime Mahan Skiatook, OK, Angela and husband, Mike Theobold Forney, TX, 15 Grandchildren, 1 sister and her husband, Belinda "Tootie" and Donald Peavler Kenefic, . He was preceded in death by his grand parents and parents, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 6th at 10:00 A.M. at Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Cyril, OK with Pastor Tommy Stewart officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Cyril Funeral Home. |
July 7, 2011 Prestyn Shayne Mahan Prestyn Shayne Mahan of Cyril, Oklahoma was born July 9, 2002 in Lawton, OK. He passed away July 7th in Cyril, OK at the age of 8. Prestyn was a 3rd grader at Cyril Elementary School. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He liked to ride his bike with his friends and spend time with his family. He loved baseball and really wanted to play major league baseball when he grew up. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 11th at 2:00 P.M. at the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church of Cyril with Pastor Donnie Miller officiating and assisted by Randy Cocheran. Burial will follow in Celestial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Cyril Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be sent to First National Bank and Trust to the Prestyn Mahan Memorial Fund. |
