Andrea L. [Caviness] Laughlin
CYRIL, Okla. - Andrea L. Laughlin, 64, of Cyril, Okla., loved life and fought valiantly to stay with us but finally succumbed to cancer on Sunday, July 8, 2007, at her home in Cyril.
Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, at First Baptist Church in Cyril with the Rev. Charles Echols officiating, assisted by the Rev. Kip Ackley. Interment follows in Celestial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of McRay's Cyril Funeral Home.
She was born Aug. 1, 1942, on a farm near Olustee, Okla., the sixth child of W.R. and Naomi Caviness.
She had a terrific personality and her witty remarks and smile made her a delight to be around. She expected to defeat cancer, because she was victorious over the first one eight years ago. We will never forget the manner in which she told us about her first cancer diagnosis. She had everyone laughing. Because of her humor, she was a favorite of the local Red Hat Club of which she was a member. She was dearly loved by her many friends and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darryl; her parents; brother, Billy Floyd; and sister, Gwen.
Survivors include her son and wife, Chance and Heidi Laughlin; daughter and husband, Denise and Ken McCrackin; sister, Jan Chriss, who cared for her during her illness; cherished grandchildren, Shelbie, Fayth, Holden and Tayler; brother and wife, W.R. and Donna Caviness; brother and wife, Horace and Kathryn Caviness; sister-in-law, Janice Kay Rodgers; nephew and wife, Tim and Mary Ann Russell; nephew, Jim Russell; nephew and wife, Coy and Denise Caviness; nephew and wife, Wyndell and Jeanette Caviness; nephew and wife, Derrick and Patty Rodgers; niece and husband, Ginger and Keith Higgins; niece and husband, Lisa and Rick Spann; niece and husband, Kacy and Steve Holmes.
