Chad Allen Huber
Graveside service for Chad Allen Huber, 22, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2005 at the Celestial Garden Cemetery, Cyril, Oklahoma.
Chad Allen Huber was born August 10, 1982 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the son of Rick Allen and Tammy Lynn (Lowe) Huber and died May 17, 2005 in Chickasha.
On paper, Chad will seem like any other 22 year old that had the misfortune to die young. His family and friends want you to know just how extraordinary he was. Chad graduated from high school in 2001 and went on to attend U.S.A.O. until his illness kept him from it. During the time he was in school, both high school and college, he worked at the Best Western. Chad was a prolific writer and he published works in poetry, short stories and vignettes.
If you could think of one word that comes close to describing Chad it would be the word "misunderstood." Chad drew looks from strangers. There stares never angered him; but it did those who loved him. You see, Chad was a large man, and a man who liked black clothing, and had body art and body piercing. He was judged for these choices, and judged harshly.
He lived a paradoxical existene much of his life. Chad was very intelligent, which left relatively few people who could have real conservations with. Oh, we all could listen to him, but much of what he had to say would whoosh through our hair without much understanding on our part.
He was always borted with what public school could teach him. His entire life, the conformist who seemingly could not understand him, or perhaps they never wanted to, had labeled him a freak or weirdo for being different.
College seemed to be a place he could finally be himself in an environment in which may not encourage his "type", but at least welcomed those who were different.
Unfortunately, his body started giving out soon after he began.
First his heart started failing and then his kidneys began to fail. So he could not go to class any longer. In the last days, Chad was a prisoner to his dying body and chained only to his thoughts, his emotions, and his self-awareness and the love of those who stayed close. We will miss Chad Allen Huber and will always love him.
He was preceded in death by: two grandmothers: Carmen Lose and Sandra Huber; one great uncle: Gerald Paul Johnson; one uncle: Brian Huber, one nephew: Zacariah McDaniel.
Survivors include father: Rick Huber; mother: Tammy Huber; one sister: Cynthia Huber; two grandfathers: Jerry Lowe, and Ernest Huber; best friend: Russell Howell; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Interment will be in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery, Cyril, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
