Friday, September 24, 2010 Shirley Sue Golden Funeral for Shirley Sue Golden, 75, Lawton, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Kirk Smethers officiating. Mrs. Golden died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, in a local hospital. Burial will be in Celestial Gardens, Cyril, under direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born Sept. 16, 1935, in Cyril, to William B. and Almeda Beatrice See Whitener. She grew up in Cyril and was a graduate of Cyril High School. While in school she played drums in the school band. She married Ray Gene Golden on Sept. 17, 1952, in Chickasha. He preceded her in death on March 1, 1997. She and her husband owned and operated G's Corner at Fort Sill's Apache Gate for several years. She had worked at the Hotel Lawtonian, the NCO Club, several restaurants and as a private caregiver in homes as well as nursing centers but she was primarily a homemaker. She had been a member of the Rebekah Lodge. She loved to fish and dance and the Jitterbug was her favorite dance. She enjoyed flowers and cats. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law: Sherry and Gary Haley, Oklahoma City; Marcia and Gary Gingrich, Edmond; and Shelly Golden and Jeff King, Lawton; two sons and daughters-in-law: Billy and Linda Golden, Cache; and Thomas Gene and Charlotte Golden, Lawton; grandchildren and their spouses: Bryon Davis, Kimberly and Lt. Col. Chad Raduege, Brandon Golden, Scott and Meghan Golden, Rayla and David Torres, Cade and Holly Golden, Troy Pressley, Amber and Matt Tate, Tiffany Golden and Ian Robbin and Savannah Golden; 13 great-grandchildren: Michael, Zachary, Alexis, Jaden, Emeri, Alma Bella, Troy Pressley Jr., Mia Renee, Michaela, McKenzie, Logan, Aiden Ray and Gavin James; a sister, Rachel Johnson, Cyril.
